False Creek is located on the south side of the inlet and runs from Burrard Street east to Ontario Street and from West 6th Avenue north to the Seawall. The community is mostly comprised of baby boomers and young professionals yet spring through fall many Vancouverites and visitors are drawn to the parks, seawall and waterways. One of the jewels of the area is the renowned Granville Island owned and managed by the Federal Government. Granville Island offers a blend of art studios, restaurants, lounges, performance theatres, a public market and the Granville Island Hotel. As you walk east along the Seawall the space opens up to tranquil parks, ponds and walk ways with beautiful northern views capturing Yaletown and the Downtowns skyline as well as the Northshore mountains. As you approach the south east end of False Creek the community joins Olympic Village.

There are no single family houses to be found in this neighbourhood but there is a broad range of condos and townhouses. An important note is the land is a mix of Leasehold and Freehold. It is important to note that the leasehold lands are approaching their term and this is and will continue to affect the value of the leasehold condos and leasehold townhouses. Leasehold properties can be a good alternative but it is important to fully understand the current and future implications of investing in this type property. The area also contains a larger percentage of freehold properties and a good mix of both condos and townhouses. The starting price for freehold condos in the area is approximately $425,000 and goes up to multi-million dollar residences. There are pockets of the neighbourhood still under development with new condo developments slated to be completed in the coming months and years. This area of new development is primarily east of the Cambie Street bridge along First and Second Avenue to Ontario Street.

You will have easy access to downtown, Kitsilano shops and beaches as well as the Main Street district.
